Easy Recipe: The Magic of Pumpkin Spice

Fall - a season that needs no grand introduction, yet it's truly enchanting. The air gets crisper, leaves turn vibrant, and everything changes. But what makes fall truly special? For many, it's the delicious flavours that fill the air, and the star of the show is Pumpkin Spice.

As the days get shorter and the weather cooler, we all look forward to the return of this favourite taste. Just hearing "Pumpkin Spice" makes us think of cozy moments with sweaters, warm drinks, and joyful gatherings.

In this blog post, we'll explore the foundation of fall food. We'll talk about the spicy charm of Pumpkin Spice and how I think it might be the universal fall flavour. Get ready to learn about the tasty side of this wonderful time of year. So, put on your coziest sweater and join us for a flavourful journey through autumn!

The true magic of pumpkin spice doesn’t come from it’s flavour, instead it comes from the simplicity! This may be the easiest recipe I’ve ever shared on the blog. In all it’s magic, all you need are 2 ingredients.

Easy Pumpkin Spice Recipe:

  • 1 tsp Cinnamon

  • ½ tsp Nutmeg

I use this recipe to replace 2 tsp Pumpkin Spice in any recipe. Want to spice it up? Add 1/2 tsp of Ginger.

It is that simple! You can make Pumpkin Spice Pancakes, Pumpkin Spice Milkshakes, Pumpkin Spice Muffins, Pumpkin Spice Bread and so many more.

If you’re a fan of this fall flavour let me know in the comments and I may just have to write up more pumpkin spice recipes.

I will say the nutrition of the above recipes would be augmented by the use of actual pumpkin. I always go for canned pumpkin, it’s so easy to use, store and I can find it year round.

Pumpkin is also a source of many nutrients including: Vitamin A, Fibre, Vitamin E, Folate, Vitamin C, Iron and Potassium.

So, as you savour the delightful tastes of fall, don't forget to embrace the simplicity and warmth of Pumpkin Spice. It's the little things that make this season truly enchanting. Happy cooking, and enjoy your flavourful journey through autumn!
