Spicy Turkey Taco Salad
Is it Taco Tuesday yet?
Alright, there’s no need to wait for Tuesday. I have my Spicy Turkey Taco Salad recipe coming at you right now! First of all, I want to say that this dish is really easy and will please a diverse crowd. Trying to convince someone to eat more veggies? Start with this salad that includes lean protein, a familiar fiesta flavor and that crunch factor we all crave.
In the recipe below I mention you can use a package of seasoning mix or make a homemade version, I highly recommend trying to make it yourself. It's great to know all the ingredients first hand and that way you can adjust for personal preference. Honestly, I haven't gotten to this step yet but it's definitely on my mind! Spicy Turkey Taco Salad
A quick and easy healthy dinner option which includes lean protein and crunchy vegetables
Ingredients
- 454 g Lean Ground Turkey
- 1 package(24g) or homemade Taco Seasoning(I choose spicy)
- 1 Avocado
- 1 medium Tomato
- 1 head Romaine Lettuce
- 3 Tbsp Salsa
- 2 Tbsp Sour Cream
- for garnish Lime
Instructions
Cook turkey in a pan, once almost cooked add seasoning and 1/4 cup of water. Let simmer.Chop Lettuce, Tomato and Avocado as you like or make a guacamole! Add to salad bowl.Once turkey has simmer and there is minimal liquid left, add the seasoned turkey to the salad bowl.Top with Salsa and Sour Cream. Feel free to add Cilantro, Shredded Cheese, Corn or Black Beans.Mixed and Serve. Makes 2 Large portions or 3 Regular portions.
